Core Text Commands
  • simply include #mob_name in your message to broadcast that message to the specified mob in the hash tag. if your message doesn't contain a #mob_name hash tag, the message will be broadcast to the last mob you joined or sent a message to.
    example: #citypub avoid the mens room for 10-15 minutes!
    example: they just put bitburger on tap at the #beergarden
  • j or join [mob_name] [optional: the name you want displayed when broadcast messages to the mob] -- join the specified mob and permits sending and receiving broadcasts from it.
    example: join citypub
    example: j mikesbday
  • d or drop [mob_name] -- remove yourself from the specified mob so you no longer receive broadcasts from it.
    example: d citypub
    example: drop mikesbday
Extra Text Commands
  • h or help -- receive a list of helpful commands.
  • n or name [name] -- bind a nickname to your device so when you broadcast messages they come from this name instead of the last 4 digits of your phone number.
    example: name mike
    example: n coobreeze
  • info [mob_name] -- get some basic information and statistics for the specified mob_name.
    example: info wowvk
  • s or stop [mob_name] [number] [hours | minutes] -- stop or pause receiving broadcasts from the specified mob for the specified time. if no time is specified, defaults to 1 hour.
    example: stop citypub 30 minutes
    s mikesbday
  • a or auth [code] -- used to authenticate your mobile device on the website. the website will give you the [code] to enter, if needed.
    example: auth XXXXXXZZZZZZZ
    example: a YYYYYZZZZDDDD
